PM Imran Khan calls Sindh Governor, expresses concern over recent rains:
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his concern over the recent rains in Karachi to the Governor of Sindh. We will not leave the people alone. According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan has called Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, in which the Prime Minister inquired from the Governor about the situation of rains and the problems of the people.Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed concern over the recent rains in Sindh province. The Prime Minister directed the Governor of Sindh to expedite the relief operation in Karachi. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that arrangements should be made to deliver food to the people trapped in the water.
On which Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said that food was being delivered to the people trapped in Malir and West.
Relief operations are being launched in other areas of Karachi. PM Imran Khan said that he was aware of the situation in Sindh province especially Karachi. Arrange for early evacuation of people. We will not leave Karachi alone in this difficult time. Meanwhile, record rains during the sixth spell of the monsoon have created flood situation in Karachi and other parts of Sindh.
The rain in Karachi caused small streams to boil and rivers to overflow and flood the surrounding areas, forcing residents to take shelter on rooftops or relocate. The situation after the rain in Karachi city is very bad due to record rains which was also acknowledged by the Sindh Chief Minister and today he also visited various districts of Sindh to review the situation. Government of Sind has declared a rain emergency in Sindh while Apart from the administration, the Pakistan Army and other welfare organizations are continuing their operations to help the citizens.
